What is the history behind Adi Kailash?

According to Hindu mythology, five significant peaks, collectively known as “Panch Kailash,” hold special importance and are directly linked to Lord Shiva. Kailash Parvat, considered the abode of Lord Shiva, stands as the most revered among them. Adi Kailash is believed to be the Meditation place of Lord Shiva after his marriage where Shiva comes for Yoga sadhana, which follows in significance. The remaining three important peaks are Shrikhand Kailash, Kinnaur Kailash, and Manimahesh Kailash.

Although, Adi Kailash Om Parvat Yatra is considered a moderate trek so anyone can enjoy this beautiful and holy trek, but still age restrictions exist. While physical fitness is crucial for any mountain trek, the government only permits individuals between 10 and 60 years old to participate. Prior trekking experience is beneficial, especially for those above 45 years old.
